1. What type of tutoring do you provide?

We provide one-on-one tutoring using the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading, writing, and spelling.

 

2. How much does it cost?

All of our services are provided free of charge to low-income children and adults who are accepted into our program and are dyslexic or have a language-based learning disability.

3. How can I get my child or myself screened?

You can apply online or by calling our Education Coordinator at:

4. What paperwork do you need?

We will need copies of any previous academic and psychological testing. We will also need verification of income, and tax forms to confirm eligibility.

 

5. Do you work with adults?

Yes, we do. We have students ranging from the age of 7 to over 80!

6. Where does tutoring take place?

First Meetings and one Observation Meeting always take place at our office at The Rotunda. Future meetings may take place at The Rotunda, libraries, schools, community centers, churches, or synagogues. However, tutors are never allowed to tutor in a private home.

7. Does my child have dyslexia?

Does your child struggle with reading? Does he/she reverse letters or numbers? These could be early signs that your child may have a reading problem.
